Istra – tartufi i vino uz šum valova
U istarskim zaljevima, gdje se susreću more i vinogradi, mirisi tartufa i maslinovog ulja otvaraju priču o tisućljetnoj kulinarskoj tradiciji. Tu se u tanjuru spajaju zemlja i more – školjke, fuži, bijelo vino i blagi vjetar s Učke.
Dalmacija – ritam masline, vina i mora
Tijekom putovanja, kroz video zapise, razgovore s lokalnim kuharima i spontana zaustavljanja, prikazat ćemo kako hrana priča priču o identitetu, ponosu i nasljeđu obalnih ljudi.
And now, let’s sail in English…
From freshly caught fish on an Istrian pier to a drop of olive oil on a Dalmatian plate – the flavors of the Croatian coast are more than food. They are a story of people, time, and the sea that connects them.
As the project “Obalom Hrvatske” (Along the Croatian Coast) prepares for its great maritime journey from Savudrija to Prevlaka, one of the most exciting parts will be discovering the gastronomic soul of the Adriatic.
Every port, every island harbor, and every seaside tavern hides a special flavor – one you won’t find in guidebooks, but only by sitting with locals and listening to the sea.
Istria – Truffles, Wine, and the Sound of the Waves
In Istria’s bays, where vineyards meet the sea, the aroma of truffles and olive oil tells a tale of centuries-old culinary tradition. Here, land and sea share the same plate – mussels, handmade pasta, white wine, and a soft breeze from Mount Učka.
Kvarner – Simplicity That Wins You Over
In Kvarner, fish reigns supreme. Sea bass grilled on open flames, shrimp in buzara sauce, and a glass of žlahtina wine – that’s all it takes to understand why this region is a synonym for freshness, purity, and honest flavors.
Dalmatia – The Rhythm of Olive, Wine, and Sea
The further south you go, the more passionate the flavors become. Dalmatia is a story of song, sun, and food made slowly and with love. Pašticada, brudet, octopus under the bell – every bite is a reminder that time moves differently here, more slowly and with more soul.
The Sea You Can Taste
Our goal with “Obalom Hrvatske” is not only to show the beauty of the Croatian coast – but to taste it. During the voyage, through live videos, chats with local chefs, and spontaneous seaside stops, we’ll reveal how food tells the story of identity, pride, and heritage along the Adriatic.
Because the taste of the sea isn’t only in its salt – it’s in the smile of a fisherman, the aroma of freshly grilled sardines, and a glass of wine that faces the open horizon.
“Obalom Hrvatske” sets sail in 2026 – taking you on a journey through the flavors, scents, and stories that connect the entire coast.
