Na površini Jadranskog mora sve djeluje mirno, tirkizna boja, blagi valovi i beskrajni horizont. No ispod te površine skriva se jedan od najbogatijih i najraznolikijih svjetova Sredozemlja – podmorski ekosustav Jadrana.
Ploviti Obalom Hrvatske znači zaroniti u Jadran i ući u carstvo života, u dom tisuća organizama, upoznati ribe raznih boja i oblika koje se skrivaju među kamenjem, morske zvijezde i spužve koje ukrašavaju dno poput živih mozaika. Ovdje susrećemo i velike morske sisavce – dupine koji prate brodove, kornjače koje mirno plove u dubini te rijetke vrste poput morskih konjica i koralja koji svjedoče o čistoći i bogatstvu mora.
No ovaj svijet nije samo čudesan – on je i osjetljiv. Svaka promjena temperature, svaka kap ulja ili komadić plastike može narušiti ravnotežu koja se stvarala tisućama godina. Zato kroz projekt Obalom Hrvatske želimo ne samo pokazati ljepotu Jadrana, nego i podsjetiti koliko je važno čuvati i razumjeti ono što nam more daje.
Na svom putovanju duž hrvatske obale, istražujemo i dijelimo priče iz dubina – o bićima koja rijetko vidimo, ali bez kojih naš Jadran ne bi bio isti. Od sjevernog Kvarnera do modrog juga kod Dubrovnika, otkrivamo čaroliju života pod površinom – svijet koji diše, raste i povezuje nas sve.

On the surface of the Adriatic Sea, everything seems calm – turquoise hues, gentle waves, and an endless horizon. But beneath that surface lies one of the richest and most diverse worlds of the Mediterranean – the underwater ecosystem of the Adriatic.
Sailing Obalom Hrvatske means diving into the Adriatic and entering a kingdom of life – a home to thousands of organisms. Here you can discover fish of all colors and shapes hiding among the rocks, starfish and sponges that decorate the seabed like living mosaics. You may also encounter larger marine creatures – dolphins that follow boats, turtles gliding peacefully through the depths, and rare species such as seahorses and corals that testify to the purity and richness of the sea.
Yet this world is not only wondrous – it is also fragile. Every change in temperature, every drop of oil, or piece of plastic can disturb the balance that has taken thousands of years to form. Through the Obalom Hrvatske project, we aim not only to showcase the beauty of the Adriatic but also to remind everyone how important it is to protect and understand what the sea gives us.
Throughout our journey along the Croatian coast, we explore and share stories from the depths – stories of creatures we rarely see, yet without whom our Adriatic would not be the same. From the northern Kvarner to the deep blue south near Dubrovnik, we uncover the magic of life beneath the surface – a world that breathes, grows, and connects us all.
